2005 was characterised by a generalised dry summer. The vine creeper suffered very little because of this dryness, it achieved an early but excellent maturity . The yield was largly reduced ( less than 30 hl/ha for the Vacqueyras), and the effect was a more concentrated supple wine.

The aromas are fine and complex for all our wines and in particular for the whites which, with the addition of a little Viognier, explodes in the mouth.

Other than our Vacqueyras 2005 which will be available in May, we propose the 2004 Vacqueyras which is elegant and racey and the Vacaueyras 2003 which is typical of its type and still awaits its full maturity. For the reserve ‘Vincila’ we still have the 2001 which will still mature well.

For the reserve ‘Variation’, we’ve opted for the 2004 which is more balanced than 2003 to find the previous characteristics.

For our Gigondas, we’ve decided to present two vintages, including the 2001 which is more mature and the 2003 which has gotten remarkable notation by the professionals in the business.

The Domaine Montvac will be present at Vinisud the 20th,21st, and 22nd of February 2006 at the ‘Rhone Vignoble’ stand which groups the strongest of the Rhone Valley growers. If you wish, we could send you an invitation during the month of January for this fair.
